MedGeneration White Paper - "The investment contribution of the economic Diasporas in the Euro-Mediterranean region"
As a result of all the work carried out in this line of advocacy since the launch of the project in late 2013, MedGeneration publishes a white paper aimed at the local and regional authorities for the adoption of a Euro-Mediterranean strategy for the involvement of the economic Diasporas' talents by 2020. It is an appeal towards policy makers in charge of migration policies, as well as towards improving the attractiveness and economic development of the territories.
The European Association of Distance Teaching Universities (EADTU) is Europe's leading institutional association in online, open and flexible higher education, and is at the heart of the modernisation agenda of European universities. EADTU has a membership of fifteen institutions and fourteen national associations across 25 nations, covering over 200 universities and around 3 million students.
On 13 July 2016, the European Commission announced 4 proposals as a package of reforms to the Common European Asylum System: 1. Proposal revising the Reception Conditions Directive with a new Directive; 2. Proposal replacing the Asylum Procedures Directive with a Regulation; 3. Proposal replacing the Qualification Directive with a Regulation; 4. Proposal creating a Regulation on a structured Union resettlement Framework. The 2nd phase of the Common European Asylum System was only been completed in 2013, with several deadlines for transposition into national law only recently passed.
Following the call to action statement sent by the ERRC on 22nd June 16 to football authorities, the ERRC and the FARE Network has today called for further action to address the actions of England football fans who terrorised Romani children during the course of this year’s Euro 16 Football Championships.
